Oscar’s Tequila Distillery is on Isla Río Cuale, in the Zona Romántica of downtown Puerto Vallarta, a short walk from the Malecón. Our family makes Grand Bay by Oscar’s tequila, and at our agave garden you can taste it, learn how it is made and take a bottle home.
Come for a free walk-in tasting or book a guided tasting with one of our hosts, surrounded by agave plants and tropical gardens by the river. It is an easy stop for couples, groups and anyone curious about Mexico’s most famous spirit.
A Journey Through Mexico’s Finest Spirits
We are open daily from 11 am to 5:30 pm (last walk-in at 5 pm). The free tasting includes four classic tequilas from our family brand, made in Amatitán, the birthplace of tequila, while our hosts share the history and tasting notes of each one:
Blanco – Fresh and pure, capturing the true essence of the agave.
Reposado – Rested in oak for a smooth, warm finish.
Añejo – Rich, complex, and mature, with deep, layered flavors.
Extra Añejo – The pinnacle of our offerings, aged for a luxurious and refined taste.
Flavored Tequilas, Mezcal and Raicilla
Beyond the classics, try our flavored tequilas, from fruity to spicy, and discover mezcal and raicilla, two traditional Mexican spirits with their own character and history.

Learn moreA Learning Experience Like No Other
A tasting at Oscar’s is also a short lesson: you will learn how tequila is made, from the blue agave fields of Jalisco to cooking, fermentation, distillation and aging.
Our hosts share stories and fun facts along the way, so you leave knowing what to look for in a good tequila.
Stay ten minutes or an hour. Taste at your own pace, then stay for Golden Hour 2×1 from 4 to 6 pm or a sunset dinner at our restaurant next door.
